Cabinet Color Trends

Cabinets are important components in your bathroom or in your kitchen and not only in terms of the storing capacity they offer.  Organizing kitchen cabinet drawers is a nice way to keep small items out of sight but conveniently handy.  The color of your cabinets can make or break the atmosphere of the entire room - if you choose the hue well, the color will create exactly the impact that you want, but if the color is not right, your cabinets will disrupt the harmony of the room. Like in fashion, color trends are changing when it comes to cabinets as well, so here are a few of the hottest trends right now:

  • Color blocking – this is an excellent way to delimit areas and to create islands and it also allows you to use powerful colors on your cabinets. Cabinets that are bright red or blue look excellent in environments otherwise painted in neutral colors and vice versa, neutral cabinets tone down the harsh colors in a bright environment, creating harmony,
  • Using two tones – bathrooms and kitchens fitted with cabinets that use a darker color, such as dark blue or dark grey and a lighter hue, such as off-white on the rest of the room’s components are very trendy,
  • Green – whether it is grass green, emerald, deep green or pale, green seems to be everywhere nowadays. Whatever shade of green you choose, it will work great with a white countertop and brass knobs and handles.
